The Trinamool Congress is planning a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government in the winter session of Parliament. The session will be held from December 15 to January 5.

The TMC is in touch with the Congress and other political parties and if this proposal the Congress party's acceptance, the no confidence motion will get precedence over any other subject matter. In fact, it will be made on the first day of the session.

Though the BJP has a comfortable majority in the house, the no confidence motion is being done just to provoke and irritate the treasury benches, The BJP will welcome this as the initiative of the TMC and will further ensure a  division in Opposition ranks.
