The Delhi Metro lost three lakh commuters a day after the fare hike on October 10, says RTI data. Part two of the revision in fares which took place in October -- part one was in May -- saw a maximum increase in fares by Rs 10. The revision was recommended by the fourth Fare Fixation Committee,  a committee set up by the central government. Commuters travelling between two and five kilometres, now pay Rs 20, while a distance of over 32 kilometres cost Rs 60, up by Rs 10 each on both sections.
