the Pakistan's Punjab Judicial Review Board orders release of Mumbai terror attack mastermind and JuD chief Hafiz Saeed. Saeed has been under house arrest since January 31. He was detained along with his four aides - Abdullah Ubaid, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Rehman Abid and Qazi Kashif Hussain - by the Punjab government for 90 days under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 and the Fourth Schedule of Anti- Terrorism Act 1997.

The JuD is believed to be the front organisation for the banned Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is responsible for carrying out the 2008 Mumbai attack. The US has offered a $10 million bounty for Saeed for his alleged role in the Mumbai attack.

The 2008 attacks lasted four days across Mumbai. The attacks, which drew widespread global condemnation, began on Wednesday, 26 November and lasted until Saturday, 29 November 2008, killing 164 people and wounding at least 30.
