This grim situation is not confined to Chennai alone.

All big cities in India -- Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad -- suffer when monsoon arrives.

Why do the citizens of big cities suffer when something natural like the monsoon arrives? What is wrong with urban planning in our country?
