Delhi Transport Minister Gahlot today said that two-wheelers and women drivers will be exempted under odd-even scheme which will be enforced in Delhi for a five-day period from November 13 to November 17.

"Odd-even to be implemented from 8 am to 8 pm from November 13-17," Gahlot said.

He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should convey an emergency meeting of chief minister of Delhi and adjoining states to discuss the current crisis.

Under the odd-even scheme, private vehicles are allowed to run based on the last number of their licence plates.

Odd-numbered cars are allowed to run on odd dates while even-numbered cars can only run on even dates.

In 2016, the scheme was enforced twice -- January 1-15 and April 15-30.
