ATS arrests Islamic State suspect at Mumbai airport

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad on Sunday nabbed an ISIS suspect from Mumbais International Airport.

Identified as Abu Zaid, the suspect is believed to have run an ISIS network involving several youths from Western Uttar Pradesh while staying in Dubai.

He was found to be in touch with terror suspects who earlier arrested by police in Bijnore and western UP as well.

The police had been tracking his movement and arrested him as soon as he landed in Mumbai.

Five IS suspects were last week arrested from Kannur in Kerala. The men, all in their twenties, were going to Syria to join the terror group.

The two suspected IS operatives Stimberwala and Ubed Ahmed Mirza were arrested by the Gujarat ATS as well
