Wife of cop, who probed Sheena Bora murder case, found dead

Wife of a police inspector was found murdered inside her house in Mumbai's Santacruz on Wednesday.

The cop identified as inspector Gyaneshwar Ganore is posted at Khar police station and was once part of the team probing the sensational Sheena Bora murder case.

The high profile Sheena Bora murder case was registered at the Khar police station. Ganore was one of the investigating officers in the case and also headed the team which arrested prime accused Indrani Mukerjea .

Cops suspect insiders' role in Ganore's wife murder. Police said she was killed brutally but refused to divulge more details.

The cop's son is said to be missing after the incident and his mobile phone was found switched off.

The woman's body has been taken to a hospital for post-mortem. The case in being investigated from all possible angles, the police said.
