Manchester blast: May suspends election campaigning

Theresa May has suspended her general election campaign after 19 people were confirmed dead following a blast at an Ariana Grande pop concert.

Conservative Party members confirmed her pausing the campaign a little more than two weeks ahead of the June 8 election.

Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron has also cancelled a planned campaign visit to Gibraltar.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said it was a "terrible incident" and his thoughts were with those affected.
