Just in: Indian Air Force Su-30 MKI, an advance frontline fighter goes missing after take-off from Tezpur,
Assam, late this morning, say reports. The ground control lost both radio and radar contact about 60 km north of air base. It was on a routine sortie from Tezpur. India Today reports quoting Indian Air Force sources that the inclement weather -- rain and wind -- may be the reason there is no radio contact. Search operations underway. The area near Tezpur is hilly and deeply forested. Details awaited.
