Driver of speeding car at Times Square held

The driver of the speeding vehicle, which struck down pedestrians on a sidewalk in New York Citys Times Square has been held.

Law enforcement official says driver who plowed into crowd being tested for alcohol.

Preliminarily it looks more like a vehicle accident than anything else, a New York police spokesman was quoted as saying.

However, injured pedestrians say that the drivers actions appeared intentional
