UP CM meets meat traders, assures them govt will act only as per law

The meat traders met UP CM Yogi Adityanath and the state health minister after the state has been forced to go vegetarian as the vendors have gone on strike protesting against the clampdown on slaughterhouses.

Following the meeting, Sirajuddin Qureshi, a meat exporter said, "Our meeting with UP CM was very succesful.He assured us that licensed slaughterhouses will not be troubled. I appeal to the protesters to return to work and start working with a proper licence,UP Govt will help you procure one."

UP Health Minister also issued a statement saying, "All delegates (meat traders) supported CM & said as citizens of India its our duty to see that nothing illegal is allowed."
