Just a few weeks ahead of the important Delhi civic polls, Aam Aadmi Party's MLA from Bawana, Ved Prakash resigned from the party and joined the BJP. BJP leaders claimed that this was the first of many to come and that they expect more leaders of the AAP to desert the party ahead of MCD polls 2017.

BJP leader Shazia Ilmi, also a former AAP member tweeted this picture, saying, "Welcome Ved Prakash. I appeal to all honest workers & MLAs of Aap & others to join the pilgrimage of Development with PM."
