Veteran journalist Govind Talwalkar passes away

Veteran journalist and former editor of Maharashtra Times, Govind Shripad Talwalkar passed away in the US yesterday. He was 92.

The author of 25 books, Talwalkar received the Lokmanya Tilak Award from the Government of Maharashtra, India and also the B. D. Goenka Award and Durga Ratan Award for excellence in journalism, and Ramshastri award for social justice.
