"We will work for every section of society of UP," the CM says. "The Uttar Pradesh government will work on the principles set by the PM. I want to thank the PM for laying the foundation stone for the fertiliser factory in Gorakhpur.

"Many parties made Dalits a vote bank, capitalised on their plight, but PM Modi realised an AIIMS in Gorakhpur. This government has worked for all sections of society without any discrimination. There used to be a lot of misconceptions created about the government.

"But the PM remained steadfast on his commitment to run a government for the poor, for the farmers without any discrimination.

"I am happy that I have been picked to serve the people of Uttar Pradesh.

"I thank Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for breathing new life into our country's economy.

"Centre gave UP govt 2.5 lakh crore. I will transform UP into the PM's dream state. n the last few years, the centre gave a lot of funds to Uttar Pradesh but there was no model for development

"The people's mandate is a slap on the face of those people who have stifled the growth of Uttar Pradesh," he said.

Making a jibe at the SP-Cong slogan of UP ke ladke, Adityanath said, "Main Rahulji se ek saal chhota hoon aur Akhileshji se ek saaI bada hoon," he told Cong's Mallikarjuna Kharge. In dono (Rahul & Akhilesh) ki jodi ke beech mein jo main aagaya ye aapki viphalta ka ek karan ho sakta hai."
