After meeting Haryana CM, Jat stir postponed

Jat quota stir planned from Monday onwards postponed by 15 days after Jat leaders met Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. 

Earlier in the day, All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti Chairperson Yashpal Malik along with other leaders met the Haryana CM to hold talks on the quota issue. 

The Jats were planning a mega march to Parliament on Monday, where they were planning to gherao Parliament. 

In view of the planned march, prohibitory orders had been clamped in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to stop Jat protesters from entering Delhi and about 24,700 paramilitary personnel had been mobilised to maintain peace.

Besides quota, the Jats have been demanding release of people jailed during last years agitation, withdrawal of cases slapped during the protest and government jobs for the kin of those killed and injured while taking part in the stir.
