Jaitley gets defence portfolio after Parrikar's resignation

The President has accepted the resignation of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley gets additional charge of the defence ministry.

Jaitley held the MoD before Parrikar was elevated to the post.

Parrikar will go back to his role as Goa chief minister, taking oath of office tomorrow. -- ANI
