A day after his wife won the election from Sarojini Nagar seat in Uttar Pradesh, BJP leader Dayashankar Singh, who was expelled from the party for comparing Mayawati to a prostitute, is back in the party.
UP BJP President KP Maurya has revoked the expulsion of Dayashankar.
In July last year, Dayashankar, who was the BJPs vice-president in Uttar Prasesh, made the controversial remark. He was arrested subsequently under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Later, he was released on bail.
