So, here's what outspoken Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit tells NDTV on the party faring poorly in UP and Rahul Gandhi's leadership.

"Our crisis started in 2012. I am aware my comments could land me in trouble," he says.

When asked if he thought Rahul Gandhi was a mass leader, Sandeep Dikshit says, "Mmmmm. I will reserve judgement." He says in UP, both - starting the campaign with Sheila Dikshit and then ending it - were not well thought out. We'll be in trouble if we read these results as affirmation that Congress is the main opposition party. The Congress does not build leaders."
