Amid highly uncertain and speculative political scenario, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has gone abroad for a routine check-up and is not in the country today. Son and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is in charge.

NDTV reports that in UP, a lifesize cutout of Rahul Gandhi placed alongside Akhilesh Yadav has disappeared. It has been replaced by SP founder and chief of the party, Mulayam Singh Yadav. Remains to be seen whether the family dispute and the alliance with the Congress has affected the party's fortunes in UP.
