Congress wins majority in Punjab

Congress set to form government in Punjab with a clear majority of 63 seats of the 78 seats it is leading in so far of the 117 constituencies. AAP a distant second with 20, SAD with 14, BJP 3 and Others 2.

Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh, who is the party's chief ministerial face, thanked people of the state for their overwhelming support. The Congress legislature party will meet tomorrow to elect its leader, he said.
