Encounter breaks out after 2 terrorists holed up in house in J-K

An encounter has broken out between security forces and two terrorists after the latter were holed up in a house in the Avantipore area of Jammu-Kashmir.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and are engaged in a fierce gun battle with the terrorists.

It was only yesterday that 12 terrorists carried out a raid at a policemans house in Shopian and proceeded to ransack it thoroughly, virtually trashing the establishment.

Before that a Jammu and Kashmir policeman and two terrorists were killed while three security personnel of the Indian Army, the Central Reserve Police Force and J-K police were injured in a gunfight between militants and security forces in the town of Tral on Saturday night.
