The International Cricket Council has decided not to take action against India Test captain Virat Kohli and his Australian counterpart Steve Smith over the ongoing DRS controversy.

The ICC has confirmed in a media release that no charges have been laid against any player under the ICC Code of Conduct following the second Test match between India and Australia in Bengaluru.

A controversy erupted on Tuesday after Australian skipper Steve Smith sought dressing room's input for a DRS referral in the second Test.

Kohli in a post-match press conference nearly accused Smith of cheating.

On his part, after the defeat, Smith had admitted to what he termed a "brain fade" -- that is, looking in the direction of the dressing room on Tuesday after being given out lbw to Umesh Yadav.
