At least two militants are holed up inside a home in Thakuganj, Lucknow.

Operation is still on. We thought initially that there is one youth inside. Bt there are two. Trying to arrest them as soon as possible, said Additional Director General of Police-Law and Order Daljeet Chaudhary

One of the suspects has been identified as Mohammed Saiful and the Uttar Pradesh anti-terrorism squad's commandos are involved in the operation to flush Saiful and others out from the Thakurganj home.

The standoff began after the Uttar Pradesh police received inputs regarding possible terror suspects hiding in the state.

Following the inputs, one team was sent to Kanpur while the other team arrived in Lucknow.

The Kanpur team made one arrest in the matter.

The incident came hours after a blast on a Bhopal-Ujjain train in which at least ten people were injured.

Madhya Pradesh's DIG has confirmed that the blast was a terror attack, and five people have already been arrested in the matter in the state.
