Nearly a month after J&K encounter, CRPF officer Cheetah continues to be critical

Chetan Kumar Cheetah, CRPF Commanding Officer of the 45th battalion who staked his life in an encounter with terrorists in Bandipore in Feburary, is still battling for life. 

According to the latest medical bulletin, "he remains critical but stable. There is no fever, broad spectrum antibiotics have been given."

Cheetah was shot multiple bullets during the encounter and was airlifted from Srinagar to AIIMS Trauma Center in Delhi for further treatment.

In the ensuing gun battle, three army men have been martyred and seven others have been injured. One foreign terrorist has been neutralized and same arms and ammunitions have been recovered from the incident site, the statement added.
