PM Modi, Trump greet Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan.

"Eid-ul-Fitr greetings! May this auspicious day further the spirit of peace and brotherhood in our society," he tweeted. 

Modi is in Washington to hold talks with US President Donald Trump, who wished Muslims celebrating the festival in a statement, ANI reported.

Yesterday, the White House broke with tradition by not hosting an Iftar dinner for the first time in two decades.
