Sasikala to decide on Kovind today

Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha M Thambidurai, in a surprise development, met VK Sasikala in Bengaluru Jail today, and is believed to have discussed the Presidential poll.

Thambidurai has already met Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi after the BJP proposed Ram Nath Kovind's name as its presidential candidate.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also spoken to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami.

Thambidurai is the key figure for the BJP to coordinate between the three warring factions, but the decision of Sasikala in the presidential poll will be final.

In all probability, Thambidurai is likely to get Sasikala to make a statement from Bengaluru Jail today to ensure that the BJP gets AIADMK support.
