Just In: Anil Kumble has stepped down as the coach of the Indian cricket team, some TV channels have reported.

However, there has been no confirmation from the BCCI or Kumble yet.

Earlier, Kumble did not accompany the Indian team to the West Indies for a limited-overs series starting on June 23 following the ICC Champions Trophy, citing his commitment to an International Cricket Council meeting in London.

The official reason being given is that Kumble is required to stay back for the ICC 'Annual Conference' as he is the chairman of the Cricket Committee in-charge of taking a call on laws and regulations of the game.

Before India opened their ICC Champions Trophy campaign in England, the media was abuzz with reports of fall out between Kumble and Kohli.

It was reported that the bone of contention between Kohli (some other Indian cricketers as well) and Kumble was team selection, player management and approach towards players in regards with injury and preparations for the match.
