First reactions from Shiv Sena. Party spokesperson Sanjay Raut said Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will discuss the matter internally and announce his decision this evening. Raut said they were not given the name earlier, and the fact that he is Dalit did not matter to the Sena. "The Sena does not decide on the merits of a candidate based on his caste. We don't judge a leader by his caste," Raut said.
