Bangles thrown at Smriti Irani in Gujarat, minister blames Congress

A man has been detained for throwing bangles at Union Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani, when she was addressing a function in Gujarat's Amreli yesterday. Irani blamed the Congress saying, "Ek purush ko bheja hai mahila par aakraman karne ke liye; Congress ki yeh strategy thodi galat hai. A man has been sent to attack a woman; this strategy of the Congress is a little wrong.

She said Gujarat was heading for elections and this kind of behaviour was expected.
