Man who gunned down 4 people in Moscow shot dead

A man who opened fire from a shotgun in Kratovo village of Ramensky district in Moscow, killing four people, was eliminated by the police and National Guard in the course of a special operation. 

"The joint operation of the interior ministry and National Guard forces is over. The gunman has been eliminated," reported Tass, quoting an official spokesperson. 

As per preliminary information, a man opened fire on passersby from a hunting rifle in the village of Kratovo.  

After the Russian National Guard fighters stormed the house, the shooter opened fire on special forces unit officers and later threw a grenade at them. The area of the crime scene was later cordoned off.
