The What and When of the Comey testimony

James B. Comey, the former director of the F.B.I., will be testifying in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday. The New York Times' breakdown of how you can follow along.

What: Mr. Comey, who was fired by President Trump last month, is expected to discuss their interactions about the F.B.I.'s investigation into possible links between Mr. Trump's associates and the Russian effort to tamper in last year's presidential election.

When: The hearing starts on Thursday at 10 a.m. It will begin with prepared opening remarks and then transition into a question-and-answer period with members of the Senate panel. Mr. Comey's testimony will take place in two parts -- one open to the public in the morning and one closed-door session in the afternoon.

Where: The Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill.
