The BJP's Dalit outreach: Union Minister Piyush Goyal eats food at a Dalit party worker's home. The last time the BJP ate at a Dalit's home it ended in controversy. Last month when Karnataka BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa had breakfast at a Dalit home, a complainant alleged that the food the former CM and the BJP leaders accompanying him consumed, was not prepared by the Dalit family, but was brought from a hotel. Consequently, a complaint under the Untouchability Offences Act was filed.
