Paris agreement is shared legacy of the world: PM in France

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron address a joint press meet. Appreciates the leadership of France at various forums, in Europe and across the world, the PM said:

- India and France enjoy deep-rooted ties. Our nations have been working together for a very long time, bilaterally and multilaterally.

- Be it trade and technology, innovation and investment, energy, education and enterprise, we want to give a boost to India-France tiesWe want to improve the cultural relations between India and France.

- Several Indians fought in the first two world wars for world peace.

- Paris Agreement is a shared legacy of the world. It will benefit the future generations as well.

- Paris Agreement reflects our duty towards protecting the Earth and our natural resources. For us, this is an article of faith.

- We have natural resources because our previous generations protected these resources. We must do the same for our futureI appreciate the positivity of President Emmanuel Macron towards the International Solar Alliance.

- Terrorism is one of the biggest challenges the world is facing today.

President Macron said:

- I will be travelling to India by end of the year and we will convene a meeting of the world solar alliance

- France committed to fighting climate change&wl continue,not only within framework of Paris accord also in actions we are implementing.

- Many Indian soldiers who died for our country, for it's freedom, it's very much evidence of strong bonds between our countries.
