PM will win again in 2019, nobody can take him on: Nitish

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has voiced his support today for Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will contest elections again in 2019. "No one has the strength to compete with Narendra Modi," Kumar said, once touted as a worthy contender to the PM's post.

"Modi-ji ka muqabla karne ki kisi mein chhamta hai nahi," the Bihar CM said on the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. "The PM will win again in 2019," he said, while addressing a press conference, his first since exited the mahagathbandhan and realigned with the BJP.

The Bihar CM also said the JD-U would continue to support Gopalkrishna Gandhi for the Vice Presidential election. "The BJP does not have a problem with that," he said.


In a relief to Nitish Kumar, the Patna High Court on Monday dismissed the RJD's petitions against the formation of the JD-U-BJP government in the state.
