Nitish faces floor test today with 132 MLAs on his side

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to face floor test in the assembly today.

The National Democratic Alliance had submitted a list of 132 MLAs to the governor, which is well past the required number of 122 in the 243-member assembly.

These MLAs include 71 of the Janata Dal-United, Bharatiya Janata Partys 53, two of the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party, two of the Lok Janshakti Party, one of former CM Jitan Ram Manjhis Hindustani Awam Morcha and three independents.

On the other side, the Rashtriya Janata Dal has 80 MLAs, the Congress 27 and the Communist Party of India-Marxist-Leninist has three.
