Ram Nath Kovind reaches Rashtrapati Bhavan, next stop Parliament House

President-elect Ram Nath Kovind arrives at Rashtrapati Bhavan from his 10, Akbar Road residence for the swearing-in ceremony which will take place at 12:15 pm. Kovind will be sworn-in in the Central Hall of Parliament House.

At Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Pranab Mukherjee receives Kovind with a bouquet. They will head to Parliament House together.

Outgoing President Pranab Mukherjee and Kovind will arrive in the Central Hall in a ceremonial procession, where Kovind will be administered oath by Chief Justice of India JS Khehar.

He will then exchange seats with Mukherjee. A 21-gun salute will be given in his honour and the new President will then deliver his address.
