Army foils infiltration bid in Machil sector, 1 terrorist killed

Security forces today foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Machil sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district.

One terrorist was killed in the operation, which is currently underway.

More details are awaited.

This year, the army has foiled a total of 22 infiltration bids along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, and 38 armed intruders have been eliminated in such operations.
