Tejashwi meets Nitish at CM's chamber, clarifies on CBI case

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav in his chamber for a meeting on Tuesday evening amid the ongoing political crisis in the state.
Earlier, Tejashwi and his brother health minister Tej Pratap Yadav attended a cabinet meeting in Patna.
This is the first time that Tejashwi met the CM alone since the corruption scandal erupted two weeks ago.
Tejashwi reportedly clarified his position on the CBI case to Kumar.
Kumar has indicated a preference for the resignation of Tejashwi, who has publicly declared it will not be forthcoming, a stand endorsed by his father Lalu Yadav and their party Rashtriya Janata Dal.
Last week, Tejashwi skipped an event attended by Kumar which the former was earlier supposed to attend, raising speculations about his ouster. -- Agencies
