Smriti Irani given charge of Naidu's I&B ministry

The Prime Minister's Office tweets: The additional charge of the Ministry of I&B has been given to @smritiirani.

Union minister for Textiles Smriti Irani will take over the I&B portfolio from Venkaiah Naidu who resigned from the post after being named as the vice-presidential candidate of the ruling NDA coalition.

Naidu is also the Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Information and Broadcasting in the Modi administration.
