BJP to announce vice prez nominee shortly

The meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party to finalise the vice presidential nominee has ended and the party will hold a press conference to announce the name shortly.

Most reports pitch Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu as the likely candidate. However, in a statement given to NDTV, Naidu dismissed all this as mere speculation. -- Agencies
