Muguruza thumps Venus to claim Wimbledon crown

Garbine Muguruza beat Venus Williams 7-5, 6-0 to win her first Wimbledon crown on Sunday.

The 23-year-old saved three set points to claim the first break of the match to take a 6-5 lead and then claim the first set 7-5.

The second set was a cakewalk for the Spaniard as Venus lost steam and sprayed the ball all over to go down tamely.
