Amarnath Yatra security: Army Chief Bipin Rawat meets NSA Ajit Doval

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval yesterday and gave a detailed report on the Amarnath security situation.

After the terror attack on the pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra, the government and security agencies are very alert. General Rawat took stock of the security preparedness.

After the meeting, it was decided that the number of vehicles for safety of people in the route should be increased and also no tourist vehicle should be allowed to go there late in the evening.

The monitoring time of the National Highway has been increased by the security agencies.Moreover, each person crossing the route will be examined on every separate post.

As many as seven people were killed and 19 others injured after a group of terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims from Baltal to Mir Bazar around 8.20 p.m. on Monday night.
