Troops rushed to Anantnag after attack on Amarnath pilgrims

Troops of 90 battalion and 40 battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force have rushed to Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir after terrorists opened fire at a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from Gujarat.
Seven pilgrims died in the attack and 12 were injured.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir police, initially, terrorists targeted a police BP bunker at Botengoo. However, the fire was retaliated.
Thereafter, the terrorists fired on a police naka near Khanabal.
A tourist bus was hit by bullets in which about 18 tourists were injured.
The bus was on way to Jammu from Baltal and was not a part of the main convoy, said the police.
The main yatra convoy is escorted by troops of the CRPF.
