Jet Airways VP arrested for 'land grabbing'

Jet Airways vice president for security, Colonel Avneet Singh Bedi was arrested on Sunday on charges of land grabbing, news agency ANI reported.

He was taken into custody by Sahibabad Police early on Sunday morning for allegedly encroaching on Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation land illegally. 

An FIR has been registered against him in this regard.

Col Bedi joined Jet Airways in 2015 after serving in the Indian Army for over 40 years. He also held the post of senior vice president at Walmart India Ltd before joining the airliner.
