Australian Open Women's finals: Serena takes the 1st set

The world number 2 Serena Williams has held her nerves and won the first set in the finals of the Australian Open against elder sister Venus Williams. She took the first set 6-4.

Serena is bidding for an Open Era record 23rd Grand Slam title - a seventh here in Australia, while Venus is looking to add an exclamation point to her fairytale run by adding an eighth major crown, 17 years after her first at Wimbledon.
