Budget goes green

The 2017 Union Budget and Economic Survey documents will be uploaded to the website of the Union Ministry of Finance. In a circular, the Department of Economic Affairs stated that there will not be printed copies available as the documents will be available only on a CD. This is to boost digitalisation and go green.

Informed sources told Rediff.com that there will however be 800 copies printed for MPs. The copies that used to be sold in the main reception area of the Parliament have been dispensed with.
