Sonia not to attend Congress protest on Wed

Rajeev Sharma tells us: Congress President Sonia Gandhi will keep away from the party's 'Jan Vedana Sammelan' (People's Pain Conference) at New Delhi's Talkatora Stadium on Wednesday, January 11.

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will preside over the conference, which has been organised to protest against demonetisation.

Sonia is keeping away from the Jan Vedana Sammelan as a tactical move so that her son gets his moment of glory.

The event will be one more push for Rahul 's appointment as Congress president.
