Asserting that Pakistan wants to have good ties with India, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said both sides should maintain good relations and avoid indulging in conspiracies against each other.

"We [Pakistan and India] should maintain good relations and avoid involving in conspiracies against each other," Sharif was quoted by Pakistan media, as saying.

Sharif told reporters that his party has ended the negative tradition in the country to adopt a policy of 'India bashing' during the election campaign.

He said those who were upset with the progress of Pakistan were actually responsible for the recent terror attacks in the country.

Expressing confidence about eliminating terrorism at all costs, Sharif said, "With our firm resolve, we will defeat those who are not digesting Pakistans success on different fronts." -- ANI
