#BMC Polls 2017: Shiv Sena leading in 88 wards, BJP in 54 wards, Congress in 20 wards, MNS in 10 wards, Others in 14 wards.

Shiv Sena sweeps Marathi heartland -- Parel, Lalbaug and Dadar. Bags 11 out of 13 seats. MNS wiped out. Congress and BJP win one seat each. Scuffle between Shiv Sena and BJP workers at Dadar.

The BMC has been controlled by the Shiv Sena for the last 20 years and its biggest challenge is from the BJP, its ally since 1992. The two parties contested separately this time after the Sena called off the partnership ahead of the elections.

As leads rolled in, the Shiv Sena's Anil Desai said there was "no chance" of his party taking support of the BJP if it is short of majority at 114 of the BMC's 227 seats. The BJP's Madhav Bhandari said, it was too early to predict the result.

BJP MP Kirit Somaiya's son Neil (pictured alongside) wins from ward number 108 (Kurla, West).

Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM wins 5 seats in Solapur Municipal Corporation.

Ex-Shiv Sena Mayor Shraddha Jadhav wins consecutively for the 6th time from ward no. 202 (Parel).
