UP polls Phase-III: Voting ends, 55% turnout recorded till 4 pm

The voting for third phase of Uttar Pradesh polls is over.

A voter turnout of over 55 per cent was recorded till 4 pm. A final turnout is awaited.

69 constituencies, considered ruling Samajwadi Party stronghold, went for polls in the third phase.

"Till 1600 hours, the turnout was over 55 per cent," a spokesman of UP chief electoral officer said. -- PTI
